England players who need to shape up fast
Kevin Pietersen- England's supposedly 'great' batsman hasn't scored a test century since early last year, and he's looked pretty rubbish at the crease. Seriously needs runs at Lord's.
Stuart Broad- He just annoys me sometimes. Not just his petulant attitude, but the way he so quickly often resorts to short, rubbish bowling when all of his success has come when he pitched the ball up. Is he really smart like the likes of Vaughan say? I actually think he's a bit thick at times.
Andrew Strauss- I have faith he'll come good. He's the ultimate professional. Needs runs, though.

Maybe Broad resorts to the short stuff because he seems to have a bullying streak in him which belies the barbie doll exterior.
It is almost certain KP will be picked regardless of his performances in the lead-up because of the belief that he takes it up to the Aussies and the fact that there's a peception that he's an 'untouchable' with some sort of aura.
Strauss is an interesting one because he failed on the last tour to Australia and struggled on the hard pitches in SA last English winter. He's been unconvincing this summer and his overall average is average by modern day batsmen's standards.

Andrew Strauss is the only player capable of "shaping up". A class act and a good man.
Stuart Broad needs to remember that he isn't Glenn McGrath and KP needs to remember to play with the bat and pad a little closer.
