Congrats, DC & Sam
The Camerons follow the Blairs in having a sprog whilst hubby is PM:
Camerons announce baby girl
although she arrived early in response to the Cornish sea air. Rather ominously for Coalition harmony Mrs C gave birth in a constituency the Tories picked up on a 5% swing from the Lib Dems.
Before the Blairs had Leo in 2000 the last PM to sire a child whilst in office was Lord John Russell in 1849. The last offspring of a PM to be born in 10 Downing Street was George Robinson, 1st Marquess of Ripon, son of the then Viscount Goderich, in October 1827.
Ripon went on to have a distinguished political career serving in every Liberal Cabinet between 1861 and 1908 as well as serving as Viceroy of India.

Re: Congrats, DC & Sam
In a vox pop on the news here yesterday a woman suggested "Demelza" as a suitable name and Dave said there might be a Cornish middle name to commemorate her place of birth although he admitted that that would be one decision for which he wouldn't have the final say. Whatever she's called don't think she'll end up being Vicereine of India or even a Cabinet Minister, editor of Vogue, perhaps, which is far more influential.
