I was impressed he got through 22 overs to be honest. Now work over the winter on his fitness and he could be properly fit for the first time in 6 years

Still schlunging it down at 86/7 mph recently too.

Good luck to him, he was a star on the rise when it all went wrong. Deserves a bit of success.

He did the knee thing right in front of us. The ground surface was a big contributor to his injury.

If he's fit come ashes time, then why the hell not take him? If he breaks down, we'll have three or four other fast bowlers there anyway with the Lions squad.

Good to see Jonah doing well again - it's been a long hard road littered with serious setbacks dating back from that fateful day in Brisbane -

Please, FFS, let's not hear daft and irrational comments about including him in the Ashes squad this November.
We're trotting over to play Oz in Oz, Trev - not Bangladesh in Dacca (though I have to say that occasionally the Oz bowlers lack of nous does remind me of the Bangles) - and even a 95 pct fit Jonah would be a serious liability, well as he might be bowling right now in English conditions.

I'm not saying play him at Brisbane. But wouldn't it be a nice option to have him in the wings for (possibly in a 5 man attack?) pitches like Adelaide and Sydney where reverse swing will come into play? Like I said, we'll still have Shahzad, Sidearse, and possibly Tremlett to fall back on if Jonah breaks down. But we may as well get what we can out of him whilst he's fit.

Sidearse will be complete dross in Australia.

I still think they'll pick him simply because he's a left armer with the other fast bowling spot being between Shahzad and Tremlett. I refuse to believe they'll consider Bresnan as a genuine option in Australia.

Tremlett is coming up fast on the rails, getting quite a few mentions in the media as a possible pick. Apparently has looked as fit as he's ever been, which admittedly is not hard.

So let's take Jonah, Sid, Tremlett .. oh, and throw in Fred.

And can we borrow Brude Reid to make up the pack of quicks?

Well if he can get through 2 tests as part of a 5 man attack, he'll be an asset.
