Went along expected lines, pretty much. Shame there wasn't a category Swann could win in, easily the best spinner on show nowadays.

Well done to the little master. He was simply phenomenal in both forms of the game for the last year. This was one award missing from his kitty.

Another one is being part of a member of a WC winning team.

I feel Watson should've been ODI player of the year as he performed well in both disciplines.

He scored 1400+ runs @ 40+ and took 48 wickets @ 21 in the corresponding period.

You don't get better numbers than that.

Except for the small fact that AB averaged somewhere around 75.

Joke awards as usual. Swann should have walked the test player award.
