Aus have finally snapped an 11 game losing streak v All Blacks by winning a thriller in Hong Kong 26-24. Aus jumped early and got away to a 12-0 start with 2 tries but the AB juggernaut then rolled in 21 unanswered points. At 24-19 with 80 minutes gone it looked like loss no. 12 in a row for Aus v ABs.

But a lighning raid in extra-time saw James O'Connor score in the corner. He then calmly converted for the Wallabies to go just a bit berserk in celebrations.

Well done them.

A fair case could be mounted for the Wallabies to be the second best national team in world rugby, even before the heroics on the weekend in that cracker match in Hong Kong.

The Kiwis have been light years ahead, but the gap has slowly been closing.

Pity James O'Connor wasn't kicking in some recent games v ABs. Giteau has cost us s few times with his wayward kicking.

The Wallabies were always going to be more up for this game than NZ. This was akin to an end of season exhibition match for the Kiwis, whereas the Wallabies had the 10 match losing streak they were desperate to end.

In hindsight I should have considered this before I decided to put $50 on the all blacks to get up, thinking at the time it would be money in the bank. F*ck.

Already looking forward to their inevitable choke next year though, should be funny as always.

Pretty good game actually other than the twit with the whistle. Kurtly Beale in particular (was he MOTM by the way) is looking more and more like a world class full back. His draw and pass to put Mitchell away for that 3rd try was brilliant.
