If not for Harper the Saffies could have been rolled for 250.

The Pakistani's are 88/0 at Tea.
South Africa choked under the pressure. Either that or it was shoddy umpiring.

Well, quite a turn around. From 3-318 the Yarps crashed to AO 380 and now the wackies are smacking them.

2 quick wickets to the Yarps. Paks lucky to get 250 from here.

Fark me Smerky, your comments are getting weaker.
Believe me, after reading your comments about cricket for some years, I never thought I would say that.

Steyn gets Akmal jr Jr.
Dale has now dismissed to of the Akmal tribe in tests with Umar to come.
I wonder if any bowler had dismissed 3 brothers in tests before.

Spectacular collapse from Pakistan to leave them 132 short of SA. Morkel starred with the ball.

"Predictable", "planned", "laughable", "cynical" or "criminal" perhaps but never "spectacular".Red wrote:Spectacular collapse from Pakistan to leave them 132 short of SA. Morkel starred with the ball.

First blunder of the day for Daryl Harper then. It's hard to find words, really.

worst attended test match in the history of cricket? has anyone at the ground paid for a ticket?
pakistan needs to find some other venue for home matches. it must be terrible for the players

Good old Daryl does it again.
"Steyn to Mohammad Hafeez, no run, appeal for lbw, appeared to nip back in, landed on a good length on the off and came back in, striking him in line, just about and seemed as if it would go on to hip the stumps, Harper may have considered the height when saying not out, close call, replays suggest height wasn't a problem"

Well I stand corrected. It looks like SAF are well in control of this Test.

It may have helped if their team wasn't almost continually suspected of match-fixing. But you are right, I don't believe any Tests played in the UAE have drawn decent, or even half-decent crowds. The One wrote:worst attended test match in the history of cricket? has anyone at the ground paid for a ticket?

There are a lot of Pakistani and Indian ex-pats in Dubai. However, the majority of them are basically slave builders who live in atrocious conditions, get paid next to nothing, have had their passports confiscated by their employers, and can barely afford to buy food, let alone a ticket for a cricket match.

Meanwhile, in the only match that is destined for a result, Pak have 7 wickets left to hold Saf off for 62 overs.

This will still be a draw. As soon as Pakistan lose another wicket they'll shut up shop again.
And besides, this is Pakistan we're talking about. If they get the target down to under 100 they'll collapse like a deck of cards.

7 an over required.
Almost impossible to score 7 an over. But why not give it a go. Umar Akmal who is a flyer is still to come.
Surely Younis can shut up shop if they lose two more wickets?
