Had to google it to find out what it was.

Looks balls.

I haven't got any pressies yet. Haven't even thought about it.

Had hoped the whole f*cking farce would be snowed off this year.

Got a mate who has one. He's impressed with it, I thought i was interesting, but the iPad now does all a kindle does and more. If I had to opt for one, I'd go for the iPad.

Who are you buying the kindle for, Mr Lever? If it's for a female my advice is: don't.

I was at a conference the other day and a bookworm presenter said that they're becoming much more popular with females but for genuine readers, e-books will never replace the hard copy.

I know a few people with them and they find them easy to use and love the convenience of being able to download a truckload of titles.

Also they might be useful but they are NOT Christmas present material, it's like being given a hairdryer or a wok.

No, but I know you were giving the female perspective so was also responding in kind.

I wouldn't mind it as a Christmas present to be honest. It's practical, lasting and would supplement the orthodox, old-fashioned style of reading.

No but most on here think I'm male anyway so my sobriquet should be gender neutral. Smile

If they've got time to read, they clearly haven't got enough chores to do.
