Awesome. That should help the electorate make the right call when they undertake their national intelligence test.

I wouldn't be so sure of that.

I'm not sure at all!

Just said it should help ... but the US may be beyond help. A demented orange sh!tgibbon should be sufficient deterrent; a demented orange sh!tgibbon in an orange jumpsuit would be next level.

Electing Trump again would cement the US' status as a failed state.

Nearly 335 million people in the USA and the choice comes down to a gibberish speaker too demented to be charged with an offence or Donald Trump

They’re both demented to varying degrees.

It’s really a choice between a mildly demented old bloke who may have forgotten nearly as much about democracy than he remembers, and his support team; and an evil orange shitgibbon autocrat who never believed in democracy but does believe that he is above the law, and that the country is his personal plaything.

The Presidential debate was painful to watch.

Joe Biden looked every bit of the silly old man that he his.

Trump was his usual lying, blowhard self but did seem way more cogent and "with it" than Biden. The moderators never once pulled Trump up on his outrageous lies.

Tactical blunder by old man Joe to have these debates.

This doesn't augur well for the outcome of the Election.

Trump is barely three years younger than Biden, and has been demented for at least a decade.

Biden has to step down from the next election. It was obvious from the very start of the debate that something was wrong with him. He was mumbling and kept losing track of his thoughts. Trump spent all his time telling one lie after another and any decent debater would have destroyed him with facts.

So, I expect Biden to announce he won't be running sometime in the next week or two
and that would be the best result to emerge from the debate. Many have been hoping that Biden wouldn't end up contesting the election ever since he announced he would be running.

I hope you're right, W.

It makes it tough for the new Dem Prez nom (probably California's Gavin Newsom), who will only have 4 months (or less) to nail his opportunity at the top job.

Still, he's young at only 56, and Trump's people will have little ammunition to throw at him with so little time before the Election. Newsom is sure to appeal to a lot more people than Sleepy Joe would.

I'm really amazed that Jill Biden hasn't whispered in Joe's ear to step aside.

Great headline I just noted: “bumble v bluster”

It really boils down to a National IQ Test. Do the US public elect an old but principled man who thinks slowly and whose propensity to fumbling in the heat of the moment is mitigated by a strongly supportive team to whom he listens … OR … an egocentric, narcissist, racist misogynist autocrat, also old, also demented, who has never known the truth and who does not listen to his ‘team’ unless they parrot his own deluded fantasies?

Well the clear answer to a good question is "they will vote against Trump", but I have no faith in the IQ of the US Electorate.

There’s a clear case for the Drover’s Dog or An Inanimate Carbon Rod. Wally’s post at the top of this page should be enough for anyone with an IQ above 20.

Trump has won this election, unless Biden lets someone else (anyone else at this rate) contest.

It’s unlikely ol’ Joe will be bouncing back from that performance. He’s driven a nail through his own support system. So many Democrats I know are utterly demoralised.

Joe has retired to Camp David with family in the wake of his disastrous debate performance.

Hopefully they talk him into stepping aside. Otherwise he is shirley sentencing the World to 4 more years of the orange buffoon.
