Captained Oz in 4 ODIs against the Windies & the Snoozers in 2006-7. Lost everyone but did manage to score a century on captaincy debut as here:

Brearley was 4 years older than Towny Grigg (and the same age as Hussey is now) when he was first appointed England captain in 1977 and 13 years older than Botham when he was reappointed in 1981.

Hussey as skipper - yeah, good thinking. After Brisbane he put his return to form down to 'concentrating on enjoying my cricket and not filling my mind up with extra crap'.

In other words, right now he needs the Akela gig like a hole in the head. As that well-known cricket writer fron yesteryear, George Orwell, would say, it would be a 'doubleplusungood' idea.
