Indeed Nath, but happy for the Bloods to be going ok.

Re: AFL 2024
Yeah 'it's a marathon not a sprint' but teams that show good form at the start of the season generally show good form at the sharp end regardless of what happens in the middle - a slow start means you're chasing the season all the way to the finals, and if even you make it you're generally too shagged out by then to be any kind of real threat

Re: AFL 2024
Lions have an easy run over the next 7-8 weeks. I know their opponents tonight were very poor, but they’re looking like finalists again.

Further still. That was lamentable.

163 v 44 - unless I'm very much Murray Walker that was also the final score in the 07 Granny.
Enjoy the flashbacks, Kane C

Now that was a great game! Incredible to think there were two Burgoynes and two Cornes on the receiving end of that. Like last night - Dustin Martin was barely sighted.

is this the final year of his contract? seems like he has lost interest, and no point in another club chasing him for a 1 year deal (even Gold Coast)

Re: AFL 2024
Last season on this contract apparently (9 million over 7 years); still the second highest paid footballer in the AFL this year.
I agree he’ll likely do a Franklin - finish there and be unwanted (at least for any substantial sum) elsewhere.
He could yet finish early, but surely he wouldn’t want last night to be his final effort.

Dusty will play 300 in the match of Richmond's choice from the next 3-6 weeks draw, and there will be no 301. Last night was sad to watch.

dont know why anybody would have watched BL vs Tigs
we are putting out a VFL level side at the moment and the opposition are FTBing us
Dusty and ShaiBo dont see the point in putting in an effort

I watched the end of it - enjoyed Brisbane's display and yes, there was some schadenfreude at Richmond's plight after their incredible arrogance (even worse; that of some of their supporters) when they were at their recent peak

It was better than watching the Dishwater Cup between Lyon's current and former mobs of one-speed plodders.

Re: AFL 2024
RIP Barry Davis - Essendon Premiership player 1965, captain, coach immediately before Sheedy, North Melbourne's first Premiership captain. Mostly a defender and a glorious long drop kick who won WOS Champion Kick nearly as regularly as an O'Toole won the woodchopping.
RIP Bill Serong - Collingwood 'enforcer', long-kicking, high-flying defender from their 58 Premiership team, from whom the ranks are thinning. Also apparently a bit of an academic who evantually became a lawyer. Also played a season at North.

And GWS win at Greater Manchester Hamster Breeders Association Stadium. Again.
Providing yet more evidence that if you're half reasonable, and you get to play there regularly, you are whatever chance of beating Geelong at Cardigan Park that you are at Marvel or the G. Or that the Amityville Horror mystique around that venue s a load of hamster droppings
