Off Topic. Canada - 25 years too late.
In Canada, they have just banned from radio airplay the song 'Money for Nothing' by Dire Straits.
link
Never mind that it was released in the mid 80s, they've got all uppity about the use of the word foggot.

It's like Radio 1 censoring the same word from the Pogues' Christmas classic Fairytale of New York a couple of years ago... then reversing their decision after complaints!

From the country that gave us Bryan Adams, Celine DIon, Avril Lavigne, Nickelback and Shania Twain, they can f*ck right off.
Re: Off Topic. Canada - 25 years too late.
This makes Canadian bureaucrats about as smart as this forum's automatic censorship system, which also censors said word regardless of context.
Mind you, I don't think the forum censor is dumb enough to reach back into the past and retroactively alter posts from say, 2008, but you never know.

Do they also ban Linton Kwesi Johnson's "Inglan is a Beetch" - on two grounds - and all the versions of Euan McColl's "Bl*ck is the Colour"?

I really don't think it would have been a good idea for you to enter politics.
It would be a case of famous last words "The economy is looking great".
