After watching Brokeback Mountain I always wondered hey the two characters gave themselves their particular role without even talking about it. I guess it might have something to do with whoever looks like they've got the moistest spit

I've seen Brokeback Mountain. It seemed to me that Heath Ledger's character earned the role of 'giver' through superior physical strength as he wrestled with Jake Gyllenhaal in the tent prior to intercourse. There was no verbal communication, but there was a bit of a scuffle before Ledger mounted Gyllenhaal.
