Tait chucks it...
in for 50-over cricket.
Yep, after quitting first-class cricket a while back, he's now giving away the one-day version of the game. He will still play t20 cricket.
Which really does go to show that t20 is a version of the game where skill is not the foremost attribute needed.

Representative of much that is f*cked in the game these days, Tait said this:
Fair dinkum, what a bloody soft c0ck.
In reality, playing all year round for Australia and South Australia is not allowing my body to stand up as I would like and I do not want to be forced into retirement through career-ending injuries
Fair dinkum, what a bloody soft c0ck.

What a softc*ck. He must be praying that they invent 10-10 so he can retire from T20s.
Where does it end? With him announcing he's retiring from life before blowing his head off with a shot gun?

Maybe.
I tend to think it's the skewed slant to the rewards from T20. His action is crocked & will only allow him to bowl X numbers of overs before his body gives out completely. Eliminating overs spent is less rewarding forms is makes sense for him. Seeing Ryan Harris miss out on a big IPL payday would have been a significant factor.

I don't think there is any doubt about it. He's no rocket scientist (garbologist doesn't pay very well), is not up to Test Cricket, is barely up to 50 over cricket, and has to make a living. So he's maximising his earning opportunities. Can't see anything wrong with that.

Re: Tait chucks it...
why couldn't he have done this months ago, so we could have had a better WC XI?

Was about to say, has their ever been a softer softcock in the history of softcockdom?
Why didn't he take up spinning? Or knitting.
Re: Tait chucks it...
First there was Jack Badcock.
Then David Sincock.
Then Ashley Woodcock.
Now Shaun Softcock.
All played cricket for South Australia although Jack was originally from Tassy.

That must be the reason Mike Coward calls him Custardcock.

Not really, cricket now has three legitimate forms of the game, even if the T20 version is only for those with short attention spans and a lust for instant gratification.
Tait was never up to test cricket and in truth his only ambition there was to break speed records.
So he joins Murali in chucking it in though after the WC.

At least we won't have to listen to nein's commentators or all the other OZ cricket apologists constantly talking him up when the whole world knew he was crap.

I like custard.
Does this mean I'm gay? Oh, now it's all starting to make sense...

Actually, are you sure that Coward wasn't just "farking 'dis custard" at Tait's softness?

Can someone introduce a Bowl-Out World Cup for Spud?
Maybe Stanford would fund it?

Only recent Oz test bowler to rival Bung's lack of sense. Hope Bung defects as well.
