Feel free to contribute/ ask about any very strange statistics...

As for those contributed by the bizarre test now on in Cape Town:

It must be very rare for the 10th wicket partnership to be the biggest - but has a 10th wicket partnership ever before yielded more than the previous nine combined in a test?

What is the record number of wickets to fall on one day in a test? (Yesterday 23 went down.)

When last did all four innings take place at least in part on one day? (I vaguely recall something of the sort happening not very long ago, but can't remember when and which teams were involved.)

Willey and Willis v Windies OVal 1980 put on 55.98% of the team total in an unbroken 10th wicket partenership.

Lyon's 14 out of 47 is the 3rd highest % contribution to a total innings by a No 11.

The highest was 16/44 by Tom McIbban (Aus) way back when. The next was The Demon's 50/ 163.

SA vs Aus: Three batsmen score centuries, and only two others get more than 20...

That would be England vs West Indies at Lords in 2000, a.k.a. The Dominic Cork match.

In that England v West Indies game they only actually got 76.2 overs in for the day as well as bad light stopped play in the afternoon.
