If you turn of Javascript the site works as normal. (Except any Javascript driven content of course, but I don't think there's much of that.)

By the way, the wikipedia blackout is because of something called SOPA.
With SOPA, you could get 5 years for uploading a Michael Jackson song.

Actually, we desparately needed wiki today as we were doing ad hoc pop quizzes over which players from certain nationalities have scored the most Premier League goals.
We weren't sure which German has scored the most. I think I went for Klinsmann.
Nigerian, South African and Brazilian were also cause for debate.

I did get a blackout yesterday when I looked up Alien Hand Syndrome, a.k.a Dr Strangelove Disease. Fortunately there was info elsewhere on the web, and it could be useful if you need to blame some part of your anatomy for actions that weren't sanctioned by your logical mind. (No, not that part - though some research may provide an extension of the culpable limbs if needed.)
