£75- is this true, Merlin? And not even for the Ashes but for SA and NZ. Expect they'll be £100 in 2009 then.

Stll cheaper than the Oval which, despite being top of the price league never gets the bad press.

Really? They've charged the same price as Lord's tickets in the past. How much will the Oval Test be in 2008?

Massive re-build plans for the Compton and Edrich stands in the pipeline filo ... so have to rake in the dosh somewhere along the way!!

Though I agree - £75 a ticket to see the Jaapies and Nzudders is way OTT.

I'd pay £75 to see SA, but seriously who would fork out 75 squid to see the snoozers?

filo,

I can say with certainty that prices at the Oval have been higher than at Lord's for at least the last decade.

Wow! £103 .... down to £50 for a Test day!
The Oval really is the more expensive ... by far!

Would never have thought that ...
Wonder how that's justified .. and how that compares with the other Test venues around the country.

2003 was the last time I was at the Oval, for a OD between Pakistan and England (Trescothick and Solanki smashed us at ten an over) and the tickets were the same, I'm sure as the OD I attended at Lords.

Looking at Surrey's prices for next year, U-16s are expected to pay £51.50 for New Zealand's NatWest Series match, sitting in OCS Upper Balcony, but only £5 in the same box for South Africa? Odd!
