Looks like we just need XI of any sort the way the Windies are travelling.
According to today's big paper though, Viv is working on restoring their pride.

I wonder if they'll play 2 spinners. The wicket is only going to get slower second time around.

Might be a great idea. Give Elmer some time in the middle before the Tests.

Looks like a pretty ordinary effort by Aust. Lots of starts but no one went on with it.
D/L has set Windies a target of 158 from 40 overs. Should do it easily so long as they don't collapse again.

Still, a Windies win augurs well for a more interesting series.

Windies beat Oz at the 15th attempt. Made a meal out of it. Running between the wickets absolutely atrocious.

Only Morton Samuels, Carlton Baugh and Dwayne Bravo survive from the last Windies victory over Australia at the Brabourne on 18 October 2006. Michael Hussey and Brett Lee are the only survivors from the Australian side. In that match the lately-deceased Runako Morton was MoM with 90*.
13 defeats of Windies by Oz aren't quite consecutive as Sky suggests. The sequence was interrupted by 1 NR game at the SCG in February 2010 (Australia made 225 in their innings before rain wiped out all but 1 over of the West Indian reply) which followed 10 wins by Australia. Since the Sydney match there were a further 3 wins by Australia before today's match.
Sammy points out in post-match interview that Morton was MoM in last win over Oz and that his funeral was held this week. Obviously his spirit lives on or has been reawakened temporarily at least.

Well done to the Windies in breaking the long hoodoo Aus held over them in this form. Good knock from Pollard, and little Bow did well at the end.

Well done Windies; good to get a competitive series. The pitch at St.Vincent seems a bit dead.

The size of the crowd was good to see. Must have been 15,000 in? Looked pretty full.

They said before the game that it was a sellout.

Have to say it does get confusing - yer right - it's Marlon ... but what with the Mortons, Dwanes, Darrens and Kirons ... it's not surprising!

Re: West Indies v Australia, 2nd ODI, Arnos Vale, 18 March, 2012
Just constantly chirping him, every ball there'd be two or three right near him. By the end of the over it was four or five, also with Brett Lee running up to him on his follow-through right in his face. I can understand that Samuels is a bit of a mouthy farquar himself, but I didn't see a need for an entire sneering dingo pack. The umps weren't happy, but the Aussies just walked away from them.
