He's not doing too bad, average 37 in FC last season - which considering he was coming in early against the Tiflex ball on light-rolled pitches isn't the worst.
Been a total failure in the short stuff, though.
But then, again, the management have been pretty shitty to him. He hasn't got a fixed position. He hasn't even got a fixed place in the side. He should have Sales' place really, but they seem to want to flog what seems to be a dead horse.

Could see Foakes, Woakes and Stokes in the same England side one day... that would match Lillee c Willey b Dilley!

Adam Ball - to dob his way to early wickets in swingy conditions. Then probably sweet FA.
Quinton de Kock - this lad looks pretty good.
Oliver(Oli) Stone - just because of his name.
Marcus Trescothick - this young talent scored six tons over 150 last year, another year like that and England could be knocking.
He was given a fair go last season too. Capable of bowling mid-eighties and he was only 17 at the time. Not especially tall - so he could be quite skiddy. He made the odd respectable score as well coming in at six or seven. He'll miss the first two weeks of the season as he's on U19 duty for England in a quadrangular tournament in Oz.

Re: Five young English cricketers to watch in 2012
I've seen him a couple of times and he seemed a little lively, but he's pretty raw in both disciplines. Thought that he'll get a chance because your fast bowling stocks aren't as abundant as usual. Although you've got the might David Lucas now...

He'll get a go because Gareth Andrew is coming back from injury and won't be fit to bowl until some time in May. We are so farked if Alan Richardson gets injured.

He was fine when I noted him, but he's clearly been Trevved now, so might as well brush up on some other skills and seek out an alternative career.

I'd like to add the Overton twins, Craig and Jamie, who were born in the same hospital as me in North Devon. Jamie is a fast medium bowler, and Craig is a batting all-rounder.

If you add them, that makes seven. Seven cricketers that will never fulfil their potential. Can't you start just rating Aussies and Indians.
