I'm not sure what's worse about asking a question like this. The ignorance in general, or that the person went to crapinfo and hunted around for the 'Ask Steven' form, which would probably have taken longer than going to Google and trying the phrase 'Oldest Test Captains Debut', which gives as its first match, the crapinfo page that shows the answer.

Steven Lynch must either have the patience of a deity, or a good sense of humour, because it's not the first time a simlar Q&A has been posed, again with an Indian guessing an Indian as the obviously wrong answer.

Other interesting reality from that list - Keith Fletcher played in Test # 911 in 1981 - 104 years after the first Test. It's only taken another 26 years for the total number of Test matches played to double.
