Are there property funds that buy and sell caravan parks?? Or are you suggesting actually purchasing caravan parks?  columbo

I expect some property funds would invest in freehold caravan sites....the smart thing to do is to buy near the urban fringe fill it with cheapo dongas and vans and lease to people unable to afford living in the city (preferably your site is near a cop shop!)....eventually the Libs will change their metropolitan planning schemes and you can evict the tenants and sell the land for housing....

No. The best ones are near the beaches where cashed up bogans can afford to pay extortionate fees to relive their childhoods.

Add "cigars" and it's right up your street Horatio!

To Skulls -
Hopefully a hiccup, though the pundits on this side say it could be a long drawn out process, market corrections
taking place - sure ... but the mainstream long term problems are Gaza and the blacklisting of 5 Russian banks by the EU,
together with the various other "embargos" currently in the EU pipeline against Vlad Putin.

They're expecting the Great Dictator to react to the EU measures - but the trouble is they don't know from which direction
the reaction will materialise.... Oil, Gas, Metals etc .... or what form they'll take.

The continuing drop in oil prices (and the reluctance of OPEC to stem the downward spiral)
is what's kicked off this steep decline in the stock market.

No longer are the horny bulls keen to buy the drop (as the bears rake it in) as the REAL physical oil market takes a grip - Fact : there's a shed load of physical oil (not the paper/swaps variety), surplus to needs or requirement, that's been floating around for the past 6 months ... and until that's been taken up (and it could take awhile) - tighten your belts if you are long in any market!

At the pumps however, things are looking up and petrol's expected
to nudge £1.15/litre by the New Year.

Huzzah! cheers

Yes it is MB.
We've been as high as £1.38 for a litre of Reg Petrol ... but the price has steadily dropped over the past 6 months ... the supermarkets first led the way with reductions which then forced the majors to follow suit. Nowhere to hide now!

Oil is (almost) in free fall ... till crude reaches $70/barrel that is ... when OPEC are expected to step back in to support that level  ... so £1.15/litre and possibly lower here in the UK is on the cards.

I've had shares in a junior gold miner sitting in a drawer for about 15 years. I should've invested the same amount in gold itself.

Petrol down to £1.10.9 per litre now ... 22 Dec.

The RAC calling a sub £1/litre after Jan 1st ...
.... the AA disagree by 2 pence (£1.029) !!

PS - WhyTF is it always .9 of a penny?
Why not just round the bloody price up!

Psychology mainly. One it doesn't look like as bad as the rounded figure, and the maths involved in calculating mentally an unrounded figure defeats most people and has the same effect as one.

Had to fill up yesterday at $1.48. And that was in a regional centre not in the middle of nowhere.
