I don't think there's a worse fielding team in the world than England this year. In fact, there can scarcely have been a worse team, period. Hardly any hundreds scored against good opposition and only Swann regularly among the wickets. It feels like the end of the Fletcher era all over again.

I've finally worked out why they are playing Sam.

They want him to take Bell's #5 spot, and are determined to get him to shed a couple of stone.
