Wow, that is a top notch day's Test cricket. 8-365, a debut ton and a record 9th wicket stand. Grouse as.

and according to his cricinfo profile, he has only played 6 FC games and scored 170-odd runs with a highest score of 60-something.

Reading his innings commentary on Cricinfo, I see he played at and missed his first 4 balls, before first gaining confidence and later going ballistic.
What a debut.
What a debut.

Re: Bangladesh v West Indies, 2nd Test, Khulna, 21-25 November, 2012
This will probably be an almighty woof, but wouldn't it be fantastic if the Bangers take the World Record for the 9th wicket to add to Hasan's unique record of a century in his debut innings batting at no. 10?? Only 19 runs required.
Actually, as t pointed out, Hasan is the first to do it in his very FIRST TEST INNINGS. Reggie Duff also made a century on debut batting at no. 10, but it was in the 2nd innings of his debut. In the 1st innings he made 32 batting at 7. Rain turned the pitch into a sticky in Aus's 2nd innings v Eng at MCG in 1902, so the Joe Darling batted his key men down low to allow the wicket time to dry. Duff came in at 10, making 104, and Armstrong batted at 11, making 45 not out, with the 10th wicket adding 120 and setting up an unassailable lead for Aus.

A run a ball for that last session, too. Would have been a great day for the local fans.

Dell O'Fromage, take it down if it's not allowed.
Good innings - a little agricultural in places but really good hands... top, top effort.
Good support from the Mad Mullah too.
Decent crowd.
It's healthy for the likes of Bangla for this shit to happen.

Have to spread the word... it's a special moment. It's doubtful we'll see too many of those in our lifetimes, gentry.
Re: Bangladesh v West Indies, 2nd Test, Khulna, 21-25 November, 2012
You wonder if considering he's only 20, has only played six first class games, and the fact that the Bangladesh talent identification program probably isn't the envy of the World, whether only Abul Hasan himself knows that he's a very good batsman?

It's a good point. To be fair, they all seem to be at a similar level: semblance of talent, inconsistency, more failures than not. He could be opening in the next match.
