Congrats Bangladesh for a thoroughly well deserved and overdue series victory. Our batsmen floundered in extremely spin friendly conditions and Bangladesh took advantage.

This has been a real eye opener for us in that we thought everything was starting to look good (T20 champions, 4 comprehensive test wins in a row etc). This series showed that very real problems still exist, primarily in the batting lineup where we play one too many all rounders and there is a lack of experience. IMHO bring Sarwan back and replacing one of Smith, Russell or Sammy will solve that.

Also without wishing to spoil Bangladesh's party, these were 5 tailored made pitches for their spinners (6 if you include a test as well). If they continue to play 9 batsman/spinners and part time spinners they might find short term gain against the likes of West Indies, New Zealand and the odd match against other teams at home, but they will continually be embarresed overseas. I think it's time they started looking towards the future more.

He was not playing in the ODI but surely this Bangladesh first class cricketer could make a difference to the situation in the Middle East.
