Didn't South Africe make a big deal about wanting to share the Boxing Day date with Australia?
I guess they showed how much they think of the date by using it to play a T20 ffs.

I hope they have the band playing in PE. It is usually the highlight of that ground.

So the Fang helped the Yarps to a big win and take the series. Well done them.

c'mon Taips...surely you would prefer a test match on your boxing day than ephemera?

Of course. As I have stated the first 500 times this subject was broached.

mind you our boxing day test is proving a bit of a fizzer...jellyback standard batting from the Lanakans and they keep giving schoolgirl and pup chances

What is even more stupid I'd that we are starting the New Year's test on the 2nd.

Not really, as we didn't have a Boxing Day test.

I guess you'd have a players' revolt if you only had a break of one day between tests. Don't explain the scheduling over here, except that it would end on the Sunday (unless the kiwis play like yersterday...)

the Sydney test used to start on Jan1...players did not need the breaks they seem to need these days

With all the rotations they shouldn't need a break.
