Can anyone tell me what is the rationale behind Suresh Raina being in group A except being captain Dhoni's blue eyed boy? Group A is for big players who play all forms of game, especially regular tests and Raina is not test regular of material and more suited for Group B of contracts for shorter format regulars? Pujara deserves to be in Grade A more than anyone else Raina surely? Zaheer, Bhajji and Sehwag completely dropped form contracts list. Looks like BCCI is keen on ending their careers without a formality.

the problem is bigger Vikas, the main issue is that it isn't a sporting society. If it were, I can assure you that adequate attention would be paid to the periodic injuries afflicting pace bowlers and the long recuperation times. Any injured pacer worth his salt doesn't 'waste' time in India, he flies to South Africa, England or Australia for professional treatment. It is that pathetic.

Once bcci stops being a bean-counter, maybe more professionals and bowlers in important posts, then they can pay more focus to making the game more exciting rather than just turn the tills that give revenue. In fact, they can contribute in big way to imporoving sports physiotherapy in the country, it is highly neglected field.
