Shiv Chanderpaul's first international appearance in England
1995: 1st ODI at Trent Bridge
He was a sub in that game, when he ran out to field the bloke behind me remarked; "bloody 'ell, he's just hatched".
That is all.

Technically speaking, are warships allowed to take part in a cricket match?
He did well to run out at all. Must have been amphibious.
Where is SF Barnes these days?

Bowling against Shiv today, is it me, or is Kyle Hogg starting to look like Jimmy?
Wish he'd bowl like him.

Technically speaking, aren't they boats rather than ships?

They are if Kyle Hogg wears them.
Technically speaking, subs are ships. But for arcane reasons of nautical tradition, it seems seamen still like to call 'em boats.
So vernacularly speaking, they're boats.
Maybe Kevin Pietersen's curious film about a single German trainer with three stripes, 'das boot, still holds you in its thrall.

Chanderpaul was suppose to play for my team here in central Florida but Chris(his manager) decided to play instead...

55 over ODI games, eh. And I see it was also the 1000th ODI.
