Undefeated streaks
With weather about and strong Indian batting to come Australia could easily draw this match ending the winning streak but extending the unbeaten streak to 22 tests.
With that in mind i was wondering if anybody knew what the record was?
I assumed that the 1980's West Indies would be frontrunner's, they didn't win the volume of tests that this Australian team did but they very rarely actually lost tests.

Re: Undefeated streaks
I've never seen an undefeated streak. Normally they are quickly collared by the security personnel, which is a shame if you ask me.

I think that's what Nath meant to link to.
And the answer is 27 if you can't be arsed looking. WI 1/82 to 12/84.

Cheers.
Figured it would have to be the 80's windies.
Although england in the last 60's with 26, although only 9 wins in that lot compared to 17 for the windies.

Rain will only intervene if India get into a winning position.

You would be correct in your assumption:
Most Tests Undefeated
England are rather undeserved runners-up as their record excludes a 4-1 losing series at home (which was originally counted as official) against the Rest of the World in 1970. Had they played South Africa instead, whom the RoW series replaced, they would probably have lost by a similar margin.
