Meanwhile in India......
....It seems like all kinds of sh*t is going down. (Somewhat predictably) the BCCI President- Some arrogant little f*cker called Srinivasan, is refusing to resign from his position despite all kinds of conflicts of interest related to the current IPL spot fixing scandal, including the fact that his son in law (who is heavily involved with the Superkings) was arrested, he himself is one of the owners of the Chennai Super Kings, and the Board that he is President of (the BCCI) is to conduct an investigation into the team he has a significant financial stake in (the Chennai Superkings) to determine whether they should face punishment (including heavy fines) for any wrongdoing in regards to spot fixing. And he claims the investigation will be "fair".
You couldn't make it up, could you?

Re: Meanwhile in India......
I say, this is what happens when you give Johnny Thirdworlder the keys to the kingdom. It's just not cricket.
Re: Meanwhile in India......
has firstworld football never had any scandals. Johny Thirdworlder appears now to be a bit low on moral integrity, but it is a learning curve. Systems shall hopefully be put in place where such entities are not allowed to run amock.

Re: Meanwhile in India......
Football and cricket both have the same problems in having people who are more interested in making money than the integrity of the game in charge. The IPL has so little cricket integrity it seemed inevitable that such scandals would occur.

Srinivasan's a qunt, he's friends with political qunts, of the highest order by our standards, and Shrikkanth with his affiliations is an insufferable qunt.
Hopefully we see the back of him for good come September.

Re: Meanwhile in India......
Who is likely to be the next BCCI President? Is he a c*nt too?
And was Srinivasan considered a c*nt before he became BCCI President? Or is it a label that's been attached to him since the acquisition of power?

Re: Meanwhile in India......
I don't know about elsewhere in the country, but he was known as a qunt down in TN e due to his connections with the owners of the Hyderabad IPL team, who are some of the dirtiest farkers in the country. But he is also pretty much the principal backer of TN cricket.
As for the next one, who really knows. Could be okay, likely be terrible.

Got to add though that it's a highly politicised state and pretty much every magnate there is affiliated to one of two principal parties.

I suspect that his c*ntishness - at the national level, so to speak - emerged as he came in the limelight with BCCI and IPL.
Back in the 90s when I was a business reporter, he was known as a solid business tycoon, savvy, conservative and who had done great things in the usually unexciting cement industry. I couldn't be ar$ed to find out about it now, but back then his company India Cements was a powerhouse, and a blue chip stock on the share exchange. The man had a lot of respect. Which is what makes his emergence as a c*nt among c*nts a little - but not a lot- surprising to me.

Re: Meanwhile in India......
Srinivasan hasn't (yet) been accused of being corrupt. It's more his huge ego that seems to be preventing him from holding his hand up and admitting that resigning would be the best option for everyone. Instead he is opting to cling on until the bitter end, making things messy.
That, more than anything, seems to be a trait shared by many prominent Indians.

@rahulkanwal*
Spoke to N Srinivasan about arrest of son-in-law. "Shut up, just shut up. I will fix the whole lot of you".
Henry, you had better watch out.
But I think the man has now gone nova.
