Re: post Australian federal election thread - early predictions
I just didn't see a particular need for an 'aftermath' thread, when essentially it's the same as a 'countdown' thread, which is essentially the same as the original thread. But, carry on, don't mind me.

nice defence of skully kids...but the old stormtrooper does not need such support...and am certain he would be surprised to have copped a lick from the flea bitten meerkat..that said...there is no doubt that Oz is about to go through some major changes over the next five years...much will be worthy of discussion

Are meerkats attracted to bandwagons in the wild too?

Re: post Australian federal election thread - early predictions
apols skully could bot find state thread but the following is a forerunner of what an MM-Banjo dominated govt will get up to...from abc online
"Premier Campbell Newman says there are too many senior staff in the public service, even after the Queensland Government's job cuts.
March figures from the Public Service Commission show there are about 13,000 fewer public servants who earn less than $60,000 a year, compared to the same time last year.
But there are almost 5,000 more public servants earning more than $100,000 a year.
Mr Newman says it is a trend that has been developing for a while.
"That is something that has happened over the last five or six years - it's not something that happened last year - but I acknowledge it's an issue we are dealing with," he said.
"There are tending to be more chiefs than Indians and I want to reverse that and that is part of the reason for the changes we've been making."
