3 Batsman and 3 All rounders - that would be scary.lardbucket wrote:Warner and especially Khawaja need a rest.
Replace Khawaja with Agar, and Warner with an inanimate carbon rod, or Starc/Faulkner.

You must have better batsmen in your state cricket than those picked as specialist bowlers for the Test squad though...lardbucket wrote:Agar and Starc are better batsmen than Warner and Khawaja.baggygreen wrote:3 Batsman and 3 All rounders - that would be scary.lardbucket wrote:Warner and especially Khawaja need a rest.

It's one thing getting runs at 8 and below when there's little pressure, put any of these more than competent tailenders into the top six and expect them to make big scores and I expect they would be found wanting.

Of course we do, but they're not eligible for selection.beamer wrote:You must have better batsmen in your state cricket than those picked as specialist bowlers for the Test squad though.lardbucket wrote:Agar and Starc are better batsmen than Warner and Khawaja.baggygreen wrote:3 Batsman and 3 All rounders - that would be scary.lardbucket wrote:Warner and especially Khawaja need a rest.

I repeat ... Warner and Khawaja are less likely to score runs in the fifth test than either Agar or Starc.

150 would be a bonus from here, going to revise my previous guess on the Aus first innings to 135.

If you could hold Twatto's, that might help us in the last test...skully wrote:Twat more than overdue for a score, but I'm not holding my breath.
