Re: Fit hitting the shan
It would be terrible if they went home. A terrible decision, terrible for Test cricket, a terrible exapmle to every child who had thought about playing the game. You know that, furri. It would be the new world standard sook*.

They could preserve the Indian team and put them on display in the International Bureau of Weights and Measures in Paris.lardbucket wrote:It would be terrible if they went home. I do.
Now we also need to know what Procter based his decision on. Y'all are backing what Symmo and Ponting heard. I'm backing my team. There can be no compromises on this- we have to know how and why the judgment was made precisely, and why a cricketer was condemned of racism. Until then there will also be a new standard of stupidity.

So when you said you'd back the decision of the match ref you meant only if you liked it.furriner wrote:Now we also need to know what Procter based his decision on. Re: Fit hitting the shan
It needs to be understood here that the team is fighting against the Board as well.
Because especially after Dravid was shafted by the board after the English ODI finals, after which he had suddenly retired, the confidene of the players in the board is at an all time low as well. They do not think that the Indian Board will protect their interests and will sell out to larger corporate interests as well as Pawar seems to be eager to lick ICC's backside with him eying ICC President position. The players know that they need to address their board in strong terms in order to stirr BCCI under Pawar.
Apparently he is such a slouch that he doesn't stand up for the players, as neither does he stand up for himself. He can be pushed around and stuff yet he will not complain and pretend to carry on as usual. This is way unlike the Ganguly-Dalmia era when the Board Prez used to stick up for his players.
