It almost snowed a couple of weeks ago but now it's ravishingly hot again. Plenty of racism here, they're kicking out all the Arabs and Asians and anyone else who ain't white and Christian. Apparently Nazi Germany is a good role model for ru(i)nning a province.

Jill, I've heard the same thing about S Harper and his crew from a different Canadian (musician) source. It seems to be inflamed from the top down. Mr H sounds like a cross between Nigel Faraaage and Jean-Marie Le Pen, with a bit of Maggie thrown in (just to balance it out a bit).

Specifically Quebec. The premier has called for a ban on all religious symbols/dress (apart from the Christian cross, obvs) in the new charter of values. Combined with the increased Frenchification of everything, it's going to deter immigrants. Basically the western provinces have said 'Screw Quebec, you can all move here, we don't mind and we have jobs for everyone'

The Federal govt does not agree with QC so let's see what happens.
