India v Australia, 6th ODI, Nagpur, 30 October, 2013
Maybe a dry match?
FFS, the only tournaments that should have anything greater than "5th" in game titles are World Cup type events, not some half-arsed, who cares JAMODI event between 2 nations.

melb media has been doing puff pieces on Schoolgirl...great reviews of what a help he has been to Bailey on the Bannie tour...again being cited as being in the running to replace Clarke as skipper in the long term

I didn't think Bailey had it in him to produce a run of scores like this. Good on him for doing so though. Can he transfer it to test cricket? We'll see....

India will chase down 350+ here.

Pretty wow from Bailey but these grounds do the bowlers no favours. India won't be easy to contain either.

esp with lightning fast outfield, possibly erratic MJ and possibly ineffective McKay & Faulkner on this pitch.JGK wrote:351 the target. Â India clear faves.

Kohli does it again.
You have to be all kinds of gash if you can't defend 350.

England wouldn't have defended 400.

The top five highest run chases in ODI history all have Australia as the bowling side.

England would've got around 280ao on that pitch.PeterCS wrote:England wouldn't have defended 400.

Nah, 245, with a 'brave' 60 off 75 balls from Trott holding them together in between the soft chips to short cover. India being even braver, getting them in the 30th over for the loss of one wicket.

Only the second time there's been four hundreds in a JAMODI. Wouldn't want to be a bowler in this series.

I was factoring in the 1 in 8 times Jos Buttler half pays off.Henry wrote:Nah, 245, with a 'brave' 60 off 75 balls from Trott holding them together in between the soft chips to short cover. India being even braver, getting them in the 30th over for the loss of one wicket.

Or you'd want to be a bowler wasn't completely shithouse.MoH wrote:Only the second time there's been four hundreds in a JAMODI. Wouldn't want to be a bowler in this series.
Re: India v Australia, 6th ODI, Nagpur, 30 October, 2013
Not a bad record for Aus. Beaten twice in a series after making 350+ (can they make it 3 times in the last game?). Watching the end of the Aus innings last night as Vague struggled to get the ball off the square in the last 15, I thought 360 was a minimum requirement. We didn't make it.
Well done to the Bannies.
So a decider in Game 700.
