Clarke thinks eleven of the twelve players equals no-brainer selections for Brisbane. Seems that Bailey's ODI form has gained him the place ahead of Doolan.

Beefy doesn't think it matters who we select as the poms will win 5-0. Obviously McGrath has passed the baton to him.

On the flipside, Johnny B scored a lot more runs than Matty P in the summer's Ashes, so maybe it's a trade up.

Answering my own question: Buttler. And no.

Ent too bothered about Jonny Knicks having to keep. Prior had a shocking Ashes and it means we're not treating Knicksy as a batsman who can play properly.

LOL First-change Finn goes though a long routine of limbering-up exs, bowls the first one to bounce twice the batsman's height, then gets clubbed for two or three boundaries. A miniature tragicomedy right there.

I should perhaps explain that the CA vidstream had no commentary, no scoreboards, no text ... the fact that Ferguson had a red helmet and seems to be right-handed is neither here nor there

Now Patterson Kurtis goes too, to Finn (!), apparently a decent slip catch by Capt Cook.

Part time dubber Carters is closing in on a ton. No doubt the NSW mafia will be running with stories tomorrow that he is the next Bradman & should be rushed into the test squad.  

The third seamer's a real problem for England. Tremlett's lost his pace and doesn't take wickets any more, Finn gets more scattergun by the game and is showing no signs of improvement and Rankin is probably a decent county player promoted above his abilities.

How's Bresnan's broken back coming along...

Have to admit - I'm on the Brezzy Lad bandwagon - I've no confidence in the other three.
