A long awaited Test showdown between South Africa and India in South Africa.
Oh wait...it's just a crappy JAMODI series.

India have elected to field. Pollock thinks it's the right decision with a lot of grass and rain and dew expected later on.

150 run partnership for SA. An indication of things to come in this tour...

I predicted a score not more than 190 irrespective of what setheffricans made. But 210 is 20 runs more and actually it is a pretty decent score for what was essentially a practice match and the opposition relying only on bounce. All the SA bowlers seemed to be tiring after their effort in first spell to 'shock & awe' the visitors. I would say this doesn't bode well for SA.taipan wrote:Welcome to the learning curve bannies. Wanderers seems to be the quickest, bounciest pitch in SA irrespective of what taipan will proceed to claim.
the weakest link was 'Mohit' and if they continue to play him, then they deserve to lose. Only in a practice match would someone like him get an opportunity.

Bad bad game for the bowlers. 350 was at least 75 runs to many.
Won't be too harsh on the batsmen yet, the pitch was very bowling friendly and Steyn was almost unplayable.
Yuvi and Raina have been quite poor for a while now. Rahane/Rayudu should replace at least one of them. Pujara should have been a part of the ODI team. Pujara at #3 and Kohli at #4 may have been better for these conditions.

Cut some slack will ya, they just landed jet-lagged 2 days ago and even without benefit of a single practice match are playing the top-ranked ODI side in the world.

The pitch suddenly became bowler friendly after SA posted 358?philcric wrote:Bad bad game for the bowlers. 350 was at least 75 runs to many.

How many hours difference are there between India and SA? Whose fault is it that there were no practice games? The matter of the top ranked team has already been addressed.buckSH wrote:Cut some slack will ya, they just landed jet-lagged 2 days ago and even without benefit of a single practice match are playing the top-ranked ODI side in the world.
