Bannies to no longer tour?
Gideon Haigh in a radio interview yesterday flagged the Bannie Board want a greater share of proceeds from the WC because of the bannie tv audience and revenue raising share...he also said there was a possibility the Bannies would no longer tour (esp tests) because the games in bannieville generated more revenue...
one upshot (hopefully far fetched) is as the bannies are the biggest market they would only share their dosh with teams touring there

If there's any truth in that, it's time to cut India loose from World Cricket and let them become their own little insular world.

Second, from all that's been stated in the Indian media (and they've covered the profits part since September), Haigh may have been very liberal or the interpretation of his may have been so...

lulz. not touring would be shooting yourself in the foot
whats more likely is india not touring during a set home season every year, a la aus and eng. there's a big push for it and will probably be realised in a year or two

India .. ?? Choose your words wisely smart fella .. bcci is a private organization and has nothing to do with India as in it does not represent India in any official capacity, it does so as matter of it's private interest. You are dealing with a private corporate business group.skully wrote:If there's any truth in that, it's time to cut India loose from World Cricket and let them become their own little insular world.
