How do we want to manage Forum coverage of international one day matches?
Series threads for ODIs & T20s?
Hello everyone
There has been mixed opinion on how to treat one day games on this Forum.
Here is a poll to determine how we cover one day matches (ODI and T20) in future.
For World Cups we can retain individual rikkied match coverage.
Regards

depends on the participants. If it involves Ind-Aust-Eng, maybe a separate thread for each match. Other nations, maybe just a combined under 1 thread for the series?

Eng-Aus ODI matches should also not be rikkied. Series thread for them too. In spirit of laisez-faire. Apart from Ashes, ODI displays by both teams are pedestrian and nothing exceptional to deserve a seperate thread, because the teams themselves do not seem to be serious about ODIs.

Should we only Rikki Test series threads for series not involving Aust or England too?

Re: Series threads for ODIs & T20s?
If it's an admin hassle to rikki threads (time wasted pinning/ unpinning), I am ok with the one thread for all ODI/ T20 games in a series (option 2 above).
There's the other matter of having to create a thread for every game. Skully is usually diligent in creating them for even non-Aus games, but I'd imagine it needs someone to take time off to do it.
If it's not an admin/ time issue, not sure what the problem is.
But if we're asking for rikkiing threads of only some countries, I DEMAND ANOTHER OPTION- I SUPPORT ONE THREAD FOR EVERYTHING. JUST ONE.

Re: Series threads for ODIs & T20s?
On second thoughts, as the main match thread topic starter, I'm happy to put up series threads for ALL one-day trash, including Aus v England. Looking back on a lot of the one day games between Eng and Aus in the past, many of them were flat out getting past one page.
