Football World Cup 2014
Cos I reckon it's worth its own thread.
As MrK says, all the club stuff is now done, let's talk about the Rio WC.

I will be going to four games. All of the Natal group games, and a round of 16 game in Recife. I'm currently in La Paz, Bolivia, having been in Chile last week, as the road to Rio continues.

You won't find many group games in Setheffrika!
But I admire your enthusiasm, Trevor, and wish your loyalty is not rewarded with falls at the first three hurdles.

Ordinary effort by Aus v an understrength Yarp side last night. 1-1 with a very scrappy 2nd half effort by the home side.

Nice. Try not to Trev any England players along the way.
Little bit jealous. But then I remember the Brazilian wandering spider and, nah, rather you than me.
Have a good one.

A brush with a black widow?
Is this wanderer worse than a funnelweb? Sniffs you down and chases you over a hundred metres and more?

Haven't read it but is it along the lines of "score more goals in each match than you concede"?

There's a mathematical formula too which he submits to be an essential guide to finding the winner, but . . . meh, wasn't interested!
I've popped a few quid on Argentina, Italy and Germany.

Interesting that no team is likely to score more than 2 goals in any individual game...
