Yes, I've been up all night going through all the connotations of team selection, pitch preparation, possible weather conditions, hypothetical injuries and such like. I've come up with the conclusion that a) I'm jolly excited and b) that SA may pip this series 3-0.

I got the barometer out and did some sums. If you know of a better way, please share it with us.
Re: Zimbabwe v South Africa, 3 x ODIs, Bulawayo, 17-21 August, 2014
Well they have rested Steyn, Philander and Horace's favourite so they may lack some penetration but de Kock has excelled in ODIs of late.

Tis a side that lost 2 ODIs to Afghanistan.... South Africa could play Siphe Mzaidume and still win comfortably.

Proteas doing well after being sent in. de Kock currently on 63 - will he notch another ton or finally score an ODI fifty? Amla a bit sedate in comparison atm.
de Kock out on that score and SA slow down considerably after his departure.

So QdK managed to equal the record for quickest to 1000 runs.

He certainly seems to be providing great early thrust to the SA innings.
Surprised they didn't go with de Lange or RR considering that they stated they are experimenting for their WC squad.

Bizarre. BTW fair effort from de Kock to equal the record at the age of twenty-one.

Big chance for Zimbo today as SA go in with only 5 batsmen.

McLaren and Parnell can handle the bat though. Of just as much relevance is that you've rested your top bowlers.

Tests are won by bowlers, ODIs are won by batsmen

de Lange apparently bowling with serious pace. No speed gun, but the Zimbos were extremely reluctant to get in line.

Yeah, I'm really worried for SA. They must be quivering.
