Not bad for a 17-18 year old, though!

Running against older & more experienced rivals he edged out pre race favorite Aaron Stubbs. The race was won by Alexander Hartmann of Queensland who won in 10.35 seconds.
So only 10% slower than Bolt.
As i said in my opening post, he will never challenge the likes of Bolt, but for his age he is breaking many boundaries.

Re: OT - A name to watch
Hale will be running against Bolt in the Nitro mixed 4x100 relay tonight. Mixed FFS!!
You would think if they are paying Bolt a six figure appearance fee they could have arranged a serious race.

Re: OT - A name to watch
Right, so 7 advertises the Nitro series to the hilt & then (in Tassie at least) shows the f*cking womens AFL. Its like televising U15 schoolboys football. The AFL have spent millions promoting it but its still shyte.

Bolt chose to run the second leg so they did'nt square off. Hale still ran very well to storm home & take the Aust team to third.
Re: OT - A name to watch
Nitro athletics on again tonight. Jack the lad is running in the individual 60 metres & running against Powell in the second leg of the relay.

He just took out the 100m 200m double at the all schools aths championships, taking out the 100 in a wind assisted 10.1 s. This kid (Jack Hale) is only 16 but holds the world record for his age group & has run the fastest 100 in Aust this year.Amazingly he was a long jumper who only took up sprinting two years ago. I don't think he will ever challenge the likes of Usain Bolt, but with age & development he is certainly going to be a serious contender.

I dunno, seems like he's still running fast times but it just fell apart for him in that race for some reason (injury?)

Aye, he actually looked to be hauling in the Quadzilla after a dreadful start, then clearly a hammy popped.
