'Canes came good with the help of Heat reject, the God botherer.

So Bog and Max smirked at the 171 set by the Vomits and told the no. 3 not to bother putting on the pads.

Lady Canes demolish the Heat to confirm top of the table place.
Quite an entertaining game.

Fair knock by Travis Head last night to steal the game from the Spivs.

Canes complete the double with a big win over the previously unbeaten Thunder. Some outstanding catching from both sides in that game.

Re: Tower of BBL
Well, apart from the Ashes when they come around, you'd have to say that the Big Bash is now the biggest event in the Australian cricket season.
Is this want Cricket Australia want? It certainly can't be what Channel Nine want. Ten's ratings are through the roof, whilst Nine's ratings (not helped by their dreadful commentators) are moderate (apart from the Day/Night test which did well).
Almost every Big Bash crowd at every ground so far this season has been larger than any ODI crowd at the same venues in Aus since 2010 (World Cup excluded).

The pricing policy (as you highlighted on the Aussie Test thread) is stupid.

where's Brad McNamara to spin this?
Are we getting to the point where we just have 1 touring team for Test series per summer, so we can focus on BBL even more (expansion also?)?

Re: Tower of BBL
Good questions Nath.
Who knows what the CA nobs will do.
There is pressure to introduce extra tea.s and to extend the fixture.
Maybe Perth and Adelaide will gat more teams than the Skidmarks and the current barrel team.
