It's f*cked up.
I wonder if this will hasten the retirements of AB, Amla, Steyn, and Morkel? They were rumoured to all be considering giving it away in protest at CSA anyway. If they all quit South Africa at once, I wonder if the ICC would take notice?

They will all be available for the Big Bash.
ICC take cognizance of their own constitution? Don't be silly.

Who would blame them?
Cricketers with their skin colour (well apart from Amla, obviously, but he's too good a man to just turn a blind eye) get treated like shit by CSA. They should avoid the upcoming Big Bash so that CSA can't accuse them of merely chasing the $$$$, but I'm actually surprised they've gone on this long considering they can all make three times as much playing T20 cricket around the world than what South Africa pays them, and not have to deal with the racist politics either.

Racism is bad, but reverse racism is just as heinous.

There are provincial elections in 2 weeks time and the ANC is running scared.
This is merely to disguise the total balls up that the ANC and its puppet CSA have made in developing grass roots cricket, during their 22 years in power.

there is no such thing as reverse racism. that implies theres a right way to do it
its just plain ****** racism. the use of skin colour or ethnciity by the powerful as a basis of discrimination

The thing is, they're starting to make progress as it is. Rabada and Bavuma have come through and demand their place in the side on merit, and there's a few good black cricketers on the fringe of the team as well.
Oh well, England will no doubt welcome any disillusioned young white Saffie cricketers with open arms. Keaton Jennings must be close to qualifying for England by now....

It also implies only whites can be racist.

It had better bloody not - I've just booked my trip to Hobart for the Test.

SA was placed in cricket isolation primarily for selecting teams based on skin colour. Nothing has changed with this policy so they should be banned. CSA would hate the fact that the money flow would dry up.

The ICC did f*ck all when the same thing happened with Zimbabwe, so why would they do anything here?
There will be more pressure on the ICC if the IRB places sanctions on their rugby team for the same policy.

Both are small sports world wide. No ways will they have the balls to ban one of their major money spinners.
Qunts, the lot of them.

I said the same on C4 over 10 years ago. If the issue had been addressed and sorted then, all this could have been avoided.

Well it's obvious if you fix the grassroots the national team will take care of itself but it seems too much like hard work for CSA and their government cronies in arms.

Exactly. If SA had been banned 10 years ago they would have been forced to fix the game at grassroots. Instead they have been hiding behind the black players produced by the elite private schools.

Right, now that I've given up the dream of being a Chinaman bowler for India, which of South Africa or Australia is a better career option?
