Looking ahead to the Banindian Tour

So looking ahead, what could the touring party look like? I suspect the NSP will use a mix of horses for courses and random dubber and people called Marsh selections. Uber's ineptitude against spin may see him stay in Oz. Conversely, Beetle's ability against spin may see him get a farewell tour. If he makes a few runs, the NSP may opt for No Show. On past history, the NSP will want a couple of bits and pieces players like No Show and Mere. They will want two spinners in the team.

A fair squad, and I concur that Ooze isn't in it. Puddle will be very very lucky if he gets picked.

They'll take 3 spinners - only issue is whether they bother with a leggie.

Uzzi will tour but shouldn't be picked for the first choice team.

No way that M Marsh or Maxwell go either.

Phurt, this is OUR forum. We don't care what the tossers thing until the squad is selected. NOW is the time for our conjecture.

Unless Madman fails and is punted, a good start would be the current XI, so:

If it's a 15 man squad, I'd add:

SOK
Frank (although India may not be the place to blood him in Tests as the leggie)
Dolly or 2nd (the latter's pace may be more useful)
Nifty or KP (Nifty's ability to read spin may be very handy)

Oz need to take a leaf out of England's book:

Pick at least two spinners in the tour party who are next to useless - one of them has to play in every test.
Do not, under any circumstances, pick a genuinely quick bowler who can bowl in short sharp bursts to ruffle a few feathers.

If they are dried out, bog and sok are contenders.

Dutchy2 has the form and should be selected.

My smoky is Stain2. Bowls at 140 and is a more than capable bat, unlike Mere, Fork and Reeks ffs.
