I think Ronny R was dumber than Dubya, though dementia had probably kicked in by the time he was elected for a second time.
both ineffectual flat-liners ... any Dubya advantage would be microscopic

Any POTARSE who had a modicum of sense would set up two embassies in Jerusalem - one for Palestine, the other for Israel.

At least that doesn't really affect the people who voted for him. On the other hand, his tax cuts which will end up being a monster gift to rich qunts like him will ensure the poor schmucks who voted for him are screwed for the rest of their lives.

Democrats take Alabama Senate seat
"The fact that Alabama’s voters have sent a Democrat to the Senate for the first time since Howell Heflin retired in 1997 is a stunner, exceeded in incredibility only by the events that led to it — not least, that the Republican candidate, Roy S. Moore, saw his already prodigious history of controversy grow during the campaign to include allegations that he had molested teenagers.
The least surprising thing about it all may be that the victorious Democrat is Doug Jones.
“Doug has an uncanny ability to be at the right place at the right time,” said Greg Hawley, one of Mr. Jones’s law partners in Birmingham, comparing that knack for being in the middle of history to that of the famous fictional Alabamian, Forrest Gump."

LOL @ The Donald's endorsed candidate Roy "the kiddy-fiddler" Moore.

The election of Moore would have slapped every woman.

Thinking just a little more about the result,, I find it no less remarkable. Alabama is the most backward Nigel of the US states.
Roy Moore is the particular sort of filth that could make the POTARSE look reasonable or Taipans internet adventures understandable, if not forgivable.

Sweet Baby Jesus!!!
"Twitter users reacted en masse on Saturday to President Trump’s tweets defending himself from questions surrounding his mental stability.
Trump, in a tweet, called himself a “very stable genius.” Twitter users responded with references ranging from Wile E. Coyote to "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General."
Trump hit back at questions over whether he is mentally fit for office in a series of tweets early Saturday, during which he claimed, “throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart.”
...
[tweet]...to President of the United States (on my first try). I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius....and a very stable genius at that![/tweet]
..."

The Twitterverse then erupted in parody.
The man is a demented fool.

Apologies for being unable to upload the Washington Post story. The Potarse is able to request loans of art pieces to hang in the White House from major Galleries. It seems Mr and Mrs Potarse wanted a particular Van Gogh from the Guggenheim (maybe it suited the WH decorations).
The Guggenheim said no but offered an alternative art piece called "America". The piece is a solid gold functioning toilet.

Obama wasn't a qunt.
Also, why is the #MAGA president asking for some Eurotrash paintings - what's wrong with good ole American artwork?

The Guggy's wonderful wheeze would have cheered up most Americans. The minority who support the Potarse would think he shits gold and passes kidney stones made of diamonds.
There's a distinction between respect for the Office and respect for the occupant.
The present POTARSE previously led the hounding of Obama over whether he was born in the US. I can't think of another pollie more deserving of a joke that he wouldn't understand.
Charlie Chaplin once made a film in the 30s satirising Hitler. It is a long time since I saw it last. IIRC, there is a scene where Hitler plays with an inflated globe of the world. The image of the garish materialistic Trump sitting on a gold throne we imagine is up there with the Chaplin satire.

Re: *The United States Presidential Election * (III)
Trump takes plenty of abuse and some of the stuff he says is deliberately controversial, but not universally disagreed with by people. Obummer wasn't a saint, remember. He oversaw the rise of B L M from what was a good idea originally to (doing nothing about) what has become largely a bunch of thugs out to kill police and white citizens. He put aviation fuel to the country's national debt and saw that explode and also oversaw mass middle east bombing campaigns that the left wing here and there have conveniently forgotten.I'm no huge Trump fan but tell me a decent leader, a really decent leader, UK or USA over the past 50 years. I can think of one.

Breakthrough or false dawn?
"Donald Trump has agreed to attend a historic meeting with Kim Jong-un, the North Korean dictator. The pair are predicted to meet by May, with “permanent denuclearisation” on the table, according to South Korea. The initial surprise announcement was made by Chung Eui-yong, Seoul’s national security chief, who recently visited the North to meet Kim."
---------------------------------------------
Did the glasnost at the Winter Olympics open the way for this historic meeting?
Is KJU really serious?
Has something happened being the scenes that has spooked the poo out of little rocket man? Or did Trump's hard man rhetoric do it?
Or is this just a ploy to allow some North Korean agent to wipe nerve agent on Trump?
Let's hope there is something in this and moves towards peace on the Korean peninsular can actually happen.

I reckon nothing will come of the proposed talks.
NK are desperate to have sanctions lifted, and now that they have alleged working nuclear missiles, they may have some bargaining power i.e. "yeah, we'll consider winding back our nukes if you lift sanctions". The Yanks will say "no way, unless we see action".
Stalemate and more insults via Twitters to come.
