International rugby is almost dead. Nobody can hold a candle to NZ. One can understand why Australia, France and England struggle, because they have other codes, in Australia's case multiple codes which draw most of the players from before rugby gets a look in. Most of our guys play AFL, soccer, rugby league, while rugby is open to private school boys in a few states.
SA should be better though, with only soccer as a competitor out of a large population. They should be much better at rugby than they are.

Okay, so you think that SA is travelling well. What are your reasons for the poor performances of the Boks? And whether you care to acknowledge it or not, Rugby is the fourth football code in OZ. Most of our guys are spread among the other three. That goes a long way to explaining while we will always struggle against the guys from across the dutch.

I do not see how you deduce I think that SA is traveling well from my remark that it was a total disgrace.

Hunt gets off with wrist slap.
Meanwhile Melbourne Rebels flog Brisbane Reds. Rugby continues to throw up surprises. Looking forward to Mr Dog's comments on the new season.
