I have read some headlines about horrendous pollution in Delhi lately. Maybe this will save Sri Lanka?

Smog stopped play?

The pollution I can vouch for, skulls. For the first few days it feels like you're breathing kerosene fumes and grit. This is not an exaggeration.

Then your lungs give up, you accept it all and reach nirvana on earth.

By the way why does the header say 1st Test? I was sure we've played 2 already.

But perhaps I've smelled too much kero fumes, as you Aussies put it.

As much as I don't like him, he's had only one awful tour. That was in England. Scored runs pretty much everywhere else. Of course, it is skewed by the fact that he's played a shed load in India, but FTB is not a phrase I'd use to describe him.

Match was stopped due to smog. The Sri Lankan players ended up wearing masks on the field and protested regularly regarding it. Maybe they were milking it, but it's a very serious concern. It's evident even in the picture quality that something's not right in the air there.

Geez, my opening post was a bit of light-hearted poke at Delhi's pollution. I didn't expect my prediction to come to pass.

The local commentary team was absolutely shameful in casting aspersions. Just delete Delhi.

Great partnership between the Flange and Chandy was spoiled somewhat by a 5-87 collapse, but at least the Lankans have avoided the follow-on.

So Lanka escaped with a draw. Moral victory?
