They're not the classic "magic mushrooms" ... they're Amanita (Fly Agaric) and not Psilocybin mushrooms.

True, but apparently they are capable of turning your mother-in-law into a lady in black who flies around on a bristled home appliance, or alternatively have people sitting around in circles doing things that make them look terribly silly. One way to take them in, it is said, is to drink the pee from intoxicated reindeer. You'd probably have to be under the influence of something already to consider that...

Just make sure you get the dosage right.

But nothing Beets a root, mynah. Except my mother-in-law, who can beet a root into a lovely pudding. Takes 3 kgs of sugar to make it pallatable but she's proud of her beetroot pud.

She can make puddings out of beetroot, chokoes (you probably don't know what they are), rhubbarb, pumpkin and lots of other foul stuff. As i said, add enough sugar and you can make anything taste OK!!!

Pumpkin fritters (the way I make them) have people who normally don't touch pumpkin eat their way to obesity in a single afternoon. For that reason, I only do them twice a year, to give them a chance to recover. We know chokoes as sou-sou, but I haven't seen one in many years - since my childhood, in fact. We ate them like gems, with butter and nutmeg. (Can't picture them in a pudding...).

The only suitable thing to add to rhubarb is 2-4 D.
