I doubt it. I've never watched an IPL game. Absolutely no interest.
Re: IPL 2019
Back in the good old days Dello started a thread for every game.

Re: IPL 2019
Any cricket on?
As I’ve said before, I don’t mind a bit of international or county T20 in moderation. No interest at all in these faceless franchises though.
It’s unlike any other sport in that players effectively become odd-jobbing mercenaries playing for different teams at different times of year. If that’s all cricket becomes in the future, it won’t figure in my top 10 or 20 sports.

I thought they'd changed the rules on the "Mankad". Obviously not.
Ashwin is clearly a qunt.

Interested in MB's view on what “would be expected to deliver the ball” actually means.
In the clip, Ashwin clearly lands his front foot in his delivery stride. That must be getting very close to when someone is expected to deliver the ball. Otherwise, why have a run up?

Harking back to Monkeygate when many Indian posters claimed that they didn't know monkey chants were racist, will Ashtray claim he didn't know Mankading was a frowned upon action??

I'm not sure that Deano knows the Laws:
“Don’t blame Ashwin here. As it’s allowed in the laws of the game ... how is it disrespectful or against the spirit of the game if it’s allowed within the laws of game? Blame the administrators for making the law,” he tweeted.
“Ashwin just put his two feet in the crease ... did not attempt to bowl the ball.”

Re: IPL 2019
Indeed, the law states:
"If the non-striker is out of his/her ground from the moment the ball comes into play to the instant when the bowler would normally have expected to have released the ball, the bowler is permitted to attempt to run him/her out."
Once Ashtray planted his front foot, he would normally be expected to release the ball. At that moment Buttler was still in his ground:
His bowling action overlain on the mankad incident:

Re: IPL 2019
Without the context of how Buttler had been backing up/running previously and Ashwin's actual normal delivery it is hard to judge
Face value it is pretty shit form from Ashwin

See this composite (widely circulated in print today):
Buttler didn't drag his bat out of the crease until Ashtray waited for him to do so, then he whipped off the bails.
Clearly NOT OUT to me.

Dean Jones is a Vomit - I'd expect nothing else from the grub.
This is the same man who called Hash a "terrorist" on air and bores everyone with his ad nauseam recounting of his 200 at Madras.
He's also suffering attention deficit, so "twitter, here I come".
