Shades of a Manly Roosterd game but without the satisfaction of a draw or suspensions in the offing

So, who will be playing for an Ashes spot?
Patto and Copeland maybe. KP has barely scored a run recently against the Duke so might be feeling nervous.

KP2 should be a cert. Hughes an outsiders chance if he does well.
Ed still needs to do well. OP needs to bowl well for sustained periods

Can't see Hughes with Warner to come back .
Ed is fine - incumbent opener and the top scorer in Shield.
Should have mentioned Boland and Tremain as well. And possibly even Holland as as second spinner given Marnus' dreadful form with the bat recently.

If Hazy is still crook then Patto will certainly be up for an Ashes spot.

Haze was rubbish last time in England. IIRC he was dropped for the last Test (Sids came in and did well)
He has been almost as bad for the past 12 months.

I reckon crossing guard plus, black mights be short a forge, and Prince Hal might be shoe ins regardless of the result.

Actually despite my best efforts predictive text farked me over, as well as a sesh at the pub screwing with my punctuatiom.
Warn/her, Smith (think about it anagram wise) and Bancroft (the last being really obscure unless you're still traumatised by Hotspur blowing big leads).
But drunk and victimised by tech mine still make as much sense as yours with that touch of class sadly lacking at times on this board. And I would at least use them consistently.

MYTYT is a cert to play in prolly his last game for Victoria. I reckon we will go with three quicks and add either Harper or Vines to ensure a traditional top order.
If there is some unknown injury concern with Gotch, Harps may have been included as keeper/batsman coverage.Harper has now regained the confidence he lost from the shocking facial injuries he received from mini Boof's bat two seasons ago. In some ways the competition between Harper and Gotch for the keeper bat spot mirrors that of Paine v Wade.

The Spivs will be hoping that Abbott takes his late season form into the Final along side the ever reliable Trent Copeland. KP2 needs to make runs, and some from Reeks would be handy for a change.
It's hard to deny the Viles' form though. They had 6 outrights and only one loss on a Brisvegas greeny early in the season. They look strong in both batting and bowling.

C'mon Qmy! Surely you must be celebrating the prospect of a Final between the two form states of the comp. Perhaps your Chippies could take some sensible advice and aspire to being as competitive as the Spivs. (aspiring to be a Vic may be beyond them) Every Billy cricketer should be made to watch the Final.
