The Queen has no political power, all she can do is follow the wishes of the Prime Minister as long as he/she maintains the confidence of Parliament (or closes it to act as a dictator).

She can’t even kick out a PM who proposes a policy that could leave half the country without jobs, food and medicine, when the rest of the House of Commons is too spineless to vote him and his crew of toffs and spivs out, on the few days he allows them to sit.

Actually if she's advised the parliamentary majority is shaky she can do the unthinkable.

I see that Princess Beatrice got married this week. I guess there may not be too many more opportunities for her dad to walk her down the aisle.
